Abstract

Modern resuscitative practice has been developing for half a century. Resuscitation guidelines which are published every five years reflected the international consensus and translated to lots of languages, aimed to be reached all over the world. The main outcome is to optimize the return of spontaneous circulation of cardiac arrest victims without neurologic deficit. This review emphasizes the changes and the differences of the procedures between 2005 and 2010 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care that are commonly performed in our daily practice.
