Abstract

Fever is one of the frequent reasons of presentation to the emergency services. Patient history plays an important role in the diagnosis of diseases which causes fever. Malaria is the common cause among patients presenting with fever after travelling abroad. In patients with fever presenting to emergency service a history of travel should be questioned and malaria should be considered in differential diagnosis. In this study a 29 years old male patient is presented which we have diagnosed malaria after he returned with fever to Turkey from Sudan, he was a worker in an endemic region of Falciparum malaria.
