• Revisions should be uploaded to the submission system and not be e-mailed to editors.
  • Revision files (both revised main text and revision note) should be blinded for the name, address and institutions of the authors.
  • Revisions not received within 3 (three) months will be administratively withdrawn. For further consideration the manuscript must be resubmitted de novo. In such cases, every effort will be made to retain the original reviewers.

Required Files for Revisions

  • Cover Letter for revision
  • Revision Note
  • Revised Main Text

Revision Note

  • In the top right-hand corner of the Revision Note, indicate the manuscript number fullowed by R1 to denote a first revision. Use R2 for second revision. (eg. TATD-27048_R2)
  • Name the Revision Note file as Revision Note_R1.
  • Revision note may be uploaded as MS Word doc/docx or Adobe Acrobat pdf file formats.
  • Responses to reviewers need to address all the topics addressed by a reviewer. Written responses to the reviewers' comments need to be specific and address each point separately. A global response, such as "We have addressed all of the concerns of the reviewers", will not be sufficient and will be sent back to the authors. Additionally, authors should give reasons for suggested changes that were not implemented, and identify any additional changes.
  • Respond to each referee's comments, indicating precisely the changes made in response to the critiques. Also, give reasons for suggested changes that were not implemented, and identify additional changes made. Provide where the change has been made by specifying Section, Paragraph and Line Number.
  • Ensure that the section "Novelty and Significance: 1) What Is New, 2) What Is Relevant?" or "Changes" is included.
  • Please check the examples of Revision Note and Cover Letter for Revision on the Forms, Drafts and Examples page.
